California Martini

Today I had my very first Old School Martini. I say old school because every time I have ever had a martini it has been with Vodka, but my husband has always told me a true martini is made with Gin, Vermouth and Olives. We decided to make a California Martini, because I have a bunch of Early California Olives. We actually did this task together, tried several different flavors (not all at once!) and came up with our own Martini called the California Martini. I hope you enjoy it! This recipe makes one, because you need to shake it in ice first and our shaker only holds one drink at at time... I know... I need a new one.

California Martini
3 1/2 ounces Good Gin
1/2 ounce Chardonnay
1/2 ounce Olive Juice
Green Olives for Garnish.

Fill your shaker 1/2 full with ice. Add Gin, Chardonnay, and Olive Juice. Close Shaker and Shake several times to mix well. Pour into a glass and garnish with green olives.

When you are with your love Make Eye Contact If you don't make eye contact, you'll look bored or uninterested in them, and that's not an impression you want to give. Remember they are just like you. Everyone wants to feel like someone is interested in what they have to say!

Cucumber and Radish Salad

Today I am bringing you a nice refreshing summer salad. My husband and I enjoy a nice cold salad on a warm Summer day. This one hits the spot. Serve it to your man in lingerie and have a picnic in your bedroom.

Romantic Tip
Lingerie works. Period. As long as it is served at the proper time and place. It can be used for great foreplay.Surprise him by having it on when he least expects it. Pull up your skirt a few inches to reveal a garter and stockings while you’re sitting together at a restaurant. He’ll take notice. And action.

Cucumber and Radish Salad
adapted from Bon Appétit | June 2012
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon coriander
1/8 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon allspice
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup radishes, stemmed and quartered
3 cups peeled and diced cucumber
1/2 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper

Bring first seven ingredients to a simmer in a small saucepan. Place radishes in a heatproof container; pour vinegar mixture over. Chill for at least 5 hours and up to 1 week.
Before serving, add cucumber; let sit for 25–30 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in onion and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
